These earrings might be dainty and small, but they've got a big purpose! Made fair trade by women in Ethiopia out of recycled bullet casings, providing economic opportunity to women with HIV/AIDS and/or fistula. These earrings are named after one of the women in the artisan cooperative (not after the healthy green!).
This pair of fair trade earrings measures about 1 inch. Come with rubber earring backs.
This product is made from 100% recycled bullet casings. Because of the contents of the recycled material, the casings need to be plated with silver to become this color. Silver-plated items have the potential to tarnish, depending on how they react with the pH of your skin. If you're nervous about an item changing colors, look for other designs in our Ethiopia Collection in brass or copper, as those are pure metals made from the recycled bullet casings.
